• Hello Dear ZQcom
Last night was the most horrible night of my life. At about 3:30 am, I was bed,
watching television, and suddenly the power went off. There was something in the air,
a strange smell, metallic, I got scared and got up immediately. I heard a thud, which
was growing, as the sound of a big engine, and suddenly felt the ground under my feet
was shaking, and so began the earthquake. The movement was undulating and became more
    and more intense.
Immediately, I shelter under the frame of a door, with my back against one side and
both hands grasping the other, The earthquake was so intense that even in this
position, it was difficult to stand.
Never in my life had I felt such fear, in the dark, the hearthquake became more and more
stronger. Everything lasted near two minutes and a half, but I felt as if was 5 or more.
When everything stopped, came a terrible silence, as if the world were suspended,
totally dark, I was isolated, alone. Because unfortunately I was alone at home.
I spend the rest of the night, under the lintel of the door with a candle in one hand
and the phone that it was useless in the other, waiting endless hours until dawn.
Energy came back at 9:30 pm yesterday, and then trhough the news I knew that the
epicenter was at the south, very near where I lived and where my parents still lives,
I knew that there have been tsunami in some coastal cities. There are fishing boats in
the middle of the streets of Talcahuano a port city.
Everything has become chaotic. Fortunately my family in the south is fiune, just
    terribly scared.
I am scared of the constant aftershocks, I'm still home alone, my husband has no way
to return home because the bridges fell down and roads are broken.
My house was not damaged, but yesterday I didn't felt very well, because the aftershock
was every half hour, and it felt pretty strong. So I could not sleep, and I'm hoping
that everything returns to normal gradually.

That had to be scary, being home alone. I'm glad you knew to stand in a doorway. The tsunamis were the worst near you, other coastal cities far away didn't get anything as bad as expected. I'm glad your family and your husband are fine too. Hang in there.

Thank you, girls.
You do not know what this means to me. I am so grateful with you.

@Raine, In the middle of all, I have the image of my Knight in my mind.
And I kept telling myself, think of nice things, think of beautiful things.
And yes, he did a good work.

I really hope my husband can return home soon. But I am calm because I know this well.
I just hope that everything improves.

Glad you're okay, hon. I was away all weekend and did worry about you and Marie-Jose and doesn't Kaoz live near you as well?

*hugs* So glad you are safe.

Oh Jeslil! Thank you so much for checking in with us. You are so much a member of the family here and we were so worried about you. It's a little weird, because we aren't really an "entity" that someone would think of notifying if something was wrong, something we could help with if we knew.

Did you know that it was one of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded?

Oooh, I'm so glad you and your family are safe! We've been worried.
*full body hug*
Now to begin the rebuilding... I wish you and yours all the best!

I'm so glad to hear that your family and your husband are also safe. How funny that you kept picturing your ZQ Knight in your mind and last night that was the first thing I thought of was to send you thehealing blessing that you had posted and your Knight in shining armor to watch over and protect you. I'm sure Maria-Jose will be fine too, I sent her one of your guardian zq angels to watch over and protect her, she may just be having more trouble getting online.

I knew this earthquake is the fifth most powerful in history. Grade 8.8 on the Richter scale.
Most of my country is in the ground. And ugly things started to happen. People are very stressed. There are isolated places and have no water, no electricity. They began looting in the cities most affected. That gives me even more afraid that the earthquake itself.

*Hugs Jes really hard, but not too hard* Oh, Jes! We are soooo happy you are safe! We were all so worried about you! We hung together on the community last night to try and give each other hope and strength while we waited for news... I was just about to post a Gabriel pic for you when I saw your post! Thank God for your safety. I am saddened to hear of those in your country who were harmed or worse.

Dear Jess, what a terrible night!!! I´m so glad you and your family are all right!!! We were so worried about you!!!
When I was in Santiago last year, our hotel had earthquake instructions that we didn´t take too seriously. You were clever to stay on the door way!
